Terms of Service

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your password secure. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.

You must be old enough to enter a contract in your jurisdiction, or have permission from someone who is.

You own everything you create in Untangling. We claim no ownership over your maps.

You grant us only the licence necessary to operate the service: storing your content, transmitting it to the people you share it with, and generating previews, thumbnails and exports at your request.

Do not use Untangling to store or distribute unlawful material, to infringe someone else’s rights, or to attack the service or its users.

Do not attempt to circumvent plan limits, rate limits or access controls.

We may suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk, and will tell you why where we lawfully can.

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.

Cancelling stops future charges and moves you to the free plan at the end of the period. Your maps remain readable and exportable.

We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service on the free plan. Where we agree a service level in writing for a Business customer, that agreement takes precedence.

We may update these terms. For material changes affecting paid customers we will give reasonable notice by email before they take effect.
